Care Instructions for Water Beds

General Description:
The water mattress is very flexible. The even allocation of the lieing pressure on your body increases the blood circulation and relieves your circulation. The musculature is relaxed and relieves therefore the intervertebral disks. The even, soft temperature relaxes the muscles and alleviates back ache and joint pain.

Water mattresses offer the highest available degree of hygiene. The water core cover may be wiped off and maintained easily.

The cover is a closed water core cover. The safety foil sewed into the lower part has a 10cm wide strap surrounding the upper rim. The strap prevents that body residues get between the mattress and the safety foil or that water leaks unnoticedly. The cover may be removed with zipper from the lower part of the cover. The cover is durable, very easy to care, pleasingly soft, extendable, wear resistant, tear proof, urine and blood resistant, resistant to disinfectants and has a good grip.

Cleaning:
The vinyl surface and the shoulder area of the water mattress may be sprayed with the vinyl cleaner and it may be rubbed in with a soft cloth. This has to be done depending on the staining, but at least all one and a half months (at wet areas) apart from that every half year.
The cover may be cleaned if necessary and depending on the degree of staining.

Slight stains: rub off with commercial mild detergent
Moderate stains: SF, Hexaquart S; Meliseptol produced by the company Braun
Heavy stains: softly rub off the stained area with a soft cloth damped with alcohol; afterwards rub off with a soft cloth damped with water (both cloths may not be wet).

It is possible to treat the water inside the bed with Aquashock 250ml (for 350l water) and with conditioner (after approx. 10 – 14 days) to counteract water decay.

Product Care:
It is necessary to add conditioner to the filling water of the mattress to avoid that the water in the mattress is exposed to the decay process. The conditioner has to be renewed at regular intervals (once a year). This is necessary to prevent the decay process and to remain the product warranty.
10-12 liters of water have to be refilled every year. Please use a rinsed and clean hose or a clean container to avoid that decay germs get into the mattress system. Do also never reach with your fingers into the mattress system while filling or emptying it.
The ITW mattress system has to be aerated with the ITW ventilation pump if “bubbling noises” occur (see operating instructions ventilation pump).
The surface of the water bed can be cleaned with vinyl cleaner and a soft cloth.

Time Interval:
The cleaning depends on the staining, but has to be carried out at least all one and a half months (at wet areas) apart from that every half year.
The product care (refilling of the conditioner) may be done once a year, the content of one unit suffices for one bed with the dimensions 90x200cm.
The product care (eliminating the bubbling noises) may be carried out if the noises occur.
The water bed may be emptied completely and refilled by an expert all six years or if the water quality is poor.
