Care Instructions for the Ice Flake Machine MF30WS
General Description:
The produced ice is unfit for consumption. The ice may only be used for the cooling of the body after an extensive stay at the sauna.

Cleaning of the Water Circuit:
The machine is switched off with the main switch and the water supply is closed with the stop cock in the supply line.
The whole ice has to be removed from the collecting pan; so that the ice does not get in contact with the descaler solution.
The lid of the float container is screwed off and the two sensor rods are connected with a bridge (metal cable). The sensor rods may not touch the casing as this would cause a shut-down of the machine due to the too high temperature.
Remove the connection hose between the float container and the freezing cylinder on the bottom side and dispose the pouring water. The connection hose will be connected again afterwards.
Preparation of the cleaning liquid: 2-3 liters of 45°-50° warm water will be mixed with 0.2 to 0.3 liters of descaling solution (Cleaner) in a plastic container. Please pay attention to the fact that the descaling solution is caustic and causes burnings if it is swallowed.
The cleaning is poured slowly into the float container and the machine is energized with the main switch afterwards. Turn the main switch to the position ON after approximately 15 minutes to turn on the machine. Refill the remaining cleaning liquid carefully after the fill level of the cleaning liquid in the float container declines.
Open the stop cock of the water supply line and leave the machine turned on until the produced ice will be clean, odorless, and compact. The ice made of the descaling solution is yellowish and very soft. If the freezing cylinder makes very loud noises, turn off the machine for a couple of minutes and turn it on again later on for the further cleaning – until the ice is clean and compact.
The machine is turned off and the ice in the collecting pan is melted with warm water afterwards.
Pour 1cc (approx. 20 drops) disinfectant into the float container, turn on the machine and keep it turned on for approximately 10 minutes. Remove the bridge (metal cable) from the sensor rods and screw on the lid again. Ice, which has been produces with disinfectant, may not be used.
Product Care of the Ice Machine:
Inspection and cleaning of the filter inside the water inlet.
Inspect the drain hose (water cooling) to make sure that it is free and to check if the drain is functioning correctly.
Remove the lid of the floater container; activate the floater to check the correct functioning of the floater. The container and the inside of the vaporizer may be cleaned with the descaling solution “Cleaner”.
Clean the air-cooled condenser with a vacuum cleaner, duster, or a non-metallic brush only if the ice machine and the ventilation motor are turned off.
Check if the cooling solvent line is not leaking. The sucking line has to be “iced” approx. 20cm in front of the compressor.
Inspect the ventilator wing to make sure that it is not blocked or hits other parts.
Remove the insulation of the ice dispenser and the Seeger ring, which fastens the ice crusher lid, and check the grease of the upper bearing. Check the o-ring inside the ice crusher as well as the bearing if you can find water on the grease or if the grease is partly „compact”. Solely special grease, approved for food machines, may be used for the upper bearing of the freezing cylinder.
The ice, dropping of the ice dispenser, is very humid. It is absolutely normal that water is running out together with the ice. This water will drain relatively quickly from the collection tray.
Check the water supply of the water cooling line if you notice a diminished cooling efficiency (closed water supply, damaged, leaky water line).
A local refrigeration technician or the company „Thermarium“ Baeder-Bau GmbH has to be contacted if a loss of refrigerant agent in the cooling circuit is noticed.
Time Interval:
The cleaning may take place depending on the degree of staining, but should be carried out twice a year.
The product care may take place at least twice a year.
The ice maker may be checked by a technician every three years (maintenance in the factory of Thermarium Baeder-Bau GmbH)
