Care Instructions for “Thermarium“ SKAI-Leather

General Description:
Skai-leather is a high-quality vinyl cushion material for objects. It has leather optics with very fine and matt cow leather design.

Cleaning:
Natural soap or neutral soap dissolved in hand warm, distilled water and applied on a large area for an in-depth and gentle cleaning of the Skai-leather. Most of the stains may be removed with hand warm soap sud or a commercial all-purpose cleaner.

Spots may be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge from the outer edge towards the center of the stain. The Skai-leather may be rubbed-off with clear water and the surface dried with a woolen cloth. It has to be avoided that the moisture ingresses through the seams into the rubber foam.
Grease, crayon, felt pen, eye shadow, mascara, chocolate, as well as sun cream stains will be removed with a damp cloth or sponge and hand warm soap sud.
Lipstick stains are  removed with non-diluted all-purpose cleaner.
Oil paint, tar, and asphalt stains are removed with benzene.
Use a 1:4 bleaching agent mixture (e.g. DanKlorix) or the stain remover (e.g. ‘Sanft und Sauber’) to remove blood and urine stains.
Other tenacious stains can be removed with a 1:1 water and Isopropanol mixture. Isopropanol may be used undiluted for very tenacious stains.

Product Care:
No special care is available. An early spot removal is better and more protective for the Skai-leather surface.

Time Interval:
The Skai-leather may be cleaned 1-2 a year.
