Ayurveda, originating from India, is the oldest holistic therapy treatment in the world. The word "Ayurveda" means 'complete knowledge (ved) of life (ayus)". Ayurveda is the science of a long living. It is based on a healthy lifestyle; unity of body, mind, and soul and with concern for all aspects of the environment.

The Thermarium AquaVeda bed has many customer-friendly special features:

• An oil-resistant heated surface, which is available in many different colours 
• ergonomic lowering of the head area to allow an oil stream on the forehead
• individualised surface design
• electronic controls to permit continuous height adjustment, with just a  push of a button (54-83cm)
• adjustable thermostat to control water temperature at the hand-held shower head
• evacuation outlet that goes to the drain system
• specially developed transportable support system for the Ayurvedic oil bowls
• automatic soap foam production for the soap massage, using a push-button system
